Final Decision On Our Song - Danny

Image
We have finally decided on a song and we have chose, Rock n Roll Star by Oasis. We have very high hopes for our music video and that it will reach its full potential as well as ours. I have colour coded key words in yellow highlighter. I have also included the opposing song "Morning Glory", also by Oasis but we chose to do Rock n Roll Star because it has a lot more diversity and a lot more we can do with it.

Morning Glory - Lyrics - Danny

All your dreams are made When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade Today's the day that all the world will see Another sunny afternoon Walking to the sound of my favorite tune Tomorrow never knows what it doesn't know too soon Need a little time to wake up Need a little time to wake up wake up Need a little time to wake up Need a little time to rest your mind You know you should so I guess you might as well What's the story morning glory? Well You need a little time to wake up wake up Well What's the story morning glory? Well Need a little time to wake up wake up All your dreams are made When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade Today's the day that all the world will see Another sunny afternoon Walking to the sound of my favorite tune Tomorrow never knows what it doesn't know too soon Need a little time to wake up Need a little time to wake up wake up Need a little time to wake up Need a little time to rest your m...

Possible Questions For Next Fridays Test

Image
Representation The test next Friday is all about representation in the music industry. Possibilities: Sexualisation of women : This could have many aspects to it. For example in many music videos in today's era of music the women may not be fully clothed to add more of a sexual feeling and making the video more appealing to the male gaze. This has became a massive trend in modern day music in the work of huge music stars such as Kanye West, DJ Khaled and even in music videos starring women as the main focus such as Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is renouned for having very sexual and revealing music videos including a lot of girls in it however there is also a lot of sexualising of males in her videos. Videos such as paparazzi and pokerface show a lot of male flesh.

Sorry about this! But the images would not transfer to blogger from my word document so this post  is just the images that should have been in the tables. They are in order from top to bottom, sorry for any inconvenience!

Camera Angles and Movement - Liam Gallagher - Wall of Glass

Image
This is a shot of ex Oasis front man Liam Gallagher in his new solo album entitled, "As You Were". This song specifically is called Wall of Glass. This shot is an amazing shot in my opinion because of its context. The song is called Wall of Glass and he is leaning on a mirror which clearly shows his reflection. This is a very well though of shot and the use of props is utilized to its full potential perhaps giving off connotations of self confidence and learning to love yourself. This shot is used in the video to make the video look a lot more edgy and portray everything a lot more cooler and up to date as Oasis hit its peak and are still very successful and big (mainly Liam) so I believe this shot is used to show Liam is still up to date and modern and still knows fashion and music very well. The shot represents Liam Gallagher as a man of importance as it looks like he is sat at the end of the table, resembling, in my eyes, a big businessman or someone with a lot of statu...

Kanye and Otis Representation

Jay z is crouching down and looking away from the camera shot that is very low to make him look bigger and important than average people. This shot represents status and power.  The facts Kanye is dancing in the background portrays the emotion of happiness and enjoyment.  This is the stereotypical shot Kanye and Jay Z in most videos. The common crouching down and looking away from the camera.  The fact they have messed up such an expensive car shows that they have the money and wealth to afford a new one or implant upgrades onto it. Representing them as very wealthy.  The way they have messed the car up can be a clear sign of aggression and possibly creativity.  The stereotype of being a "thug" and taking apart cars and destroying...
