Camera Angles and Movement - Liam Gallagher - Wall of Glass

This is a shot of ex Oasis front man Liam Gallagher in his new solo album entitled, "As You Were". This song specifically is called Wall of Glass. This shot is an amazing shot in my opinion because of its context. The song is called Wall of Glass and he is leaning on a mirror which clearly shows his reflection. This is a very well though of shot and the use of props is utilized to its full potential perhaps giving off connotations of self confidence and learning to love yourself. This shot is used in the video to make the video look a lot more edgy and portray everything a lot more cooler and up to date as Oasis hit its peak and are still very successful and big (mainly Liam) so I believe this shot is used to show Liam is still up to date and modern and still knows fashion and music very well. The shot represents Liam Gallagher as a man of importance as it looks like he is sat at the end of the table, resembling, in my eyes, a big businessman or someone with a lot of stature staring down his lesser employees or co workers.

Close Album Cover Analysis - Slayer - Repentless

This album cover is very close to me as the first concert I ever attended was a Slayer one on the "Repentless" tour in the September of 2015. There is so much to this album cover however it could be deemed as offensive to some older, old fashioned or more religious audiences due to the graphic nature of Jesus being grievously tortured. This is Slayers sixteenth studio album released on the eleventh of September 2015. Firstly I am going to talk about the huge circle with the swords cutting through it making a pentagram or satanic star in the background. This has been an on-going theme since their debut album back in 1983. Intertextuality The definition of intertexuality is shaping a texts meaning to something else. In my own words I would say intertexuality means interpreting a text into something else. In this case I will be analysing the amount of intertexuality in music videos and see how they compare and contrast to other videos that possibly may have inspired them greatly or took great influences off. This may contain the audio and how the music sounds compared to a song that is very similar. It may also entail how the video is shot depending on what angles the shots are taken from, they may have similar narratives to other videos that they may have took inspiration from.
